This trip was my first time visiting the Atlanta History Center and it did not disappoint. From its stunning architecture and hidden gardens I was completely drawn in. In the spring, while down season, I like to take some time to rework my creativity, learn some new things and test my limits. My 48 hours were spent in the company of many photographers learning and networking while having such a great time!

The first night we all met for a planned happy hour at the hotel we all stayed at where we got to mingle and meet and greet with other attendees which was so fun! The next day was a full day editorial with two full weddings and two bridal sessions. The editorial that took place in Olguita’s Garden was one of my favorites from the day. Amber from Wrenn Wood Designs told us she got her inspiration from the hanging roses in the middle of the garden. I was completely in awe of her creativity & the stunning garden itself.

I usually don’t shoot with film ( I have an old Olmypus from my great grandma for fun!) but I decided to take my brand new Canon Ae-1 with me for fun and see what I could get. While I don’t think I’ll be adding film to weddings ever, it was so fun trying to compose and work with light and just try something new!
