Michelle and Dyllan’s November wedding was the perfect reminder that fall weddings in Michigan can still feel warm, timeless, and full of life. Set in the heart of downtown Detroit, their elegant wedding day began with a ceremony at St. Aloysius Church before celebrating with family and friends at the historic Book Tower alongside the team at Anthology Events.

As a Detroit wedding photographer, it was such an honor to document Michelle and Dyllan’s story throughout the last year — from their engagement session to their wedding day in downtown Detroit. Their ceremony at St. Aloysius Church created such a beautiful and classic backdrop for the two to exchange vows, and with the church located just steps away from Book Tower, the entire day flowed so effortlessly through the city.

One of my favorite parts about working with these two was how intentionally they approached every experience. Their engagement session took place at some of their favorite date spots around Detroit, making the images feel deeply personal and true to who they are. Their wedding day carried that same feeling — joyful, relaxed, and centered around genuine connection. From the laughter shared throughout the day to the meaningful moments with family and friends, every part of their downtown Detroit wedding reflected who they are so naturally.
